PLA (polylactic acid) is a bioplastic made from renewable plant starch โ typically corn โ instead of petroleum. It is the material behind the biodegradable non-woven bags increasingly requested by brands and retailers.
The key difference shows at end of life. Under industrial composting conditions, PLA non-woven fabric breaks down into carbon dioxide and water, without leaving microplastic residue. Conventional PP non-woven does not do this.
For the buyer, nothing changes in daily use: PLA bags look, feel and print like standard non-woven bags. All the same custom options apply โ sizes, gussets, handles, silk-screen or laminated printing.
This makes PLA the practical choice for brands with sustainability commitments, and for markets where single-use plastic rules are tightening.
PLA bags follow the same production flow in our factory: MOQ 500 pcs, the usual 10โ15 day lead time, and free layout help for your artwork.
If eco credentials matter to your customers, mention it when you inquire โ we will advise the right fabric weight and printing method to keep the whole bag consistent with your message.
